The beginning of the Yuzo community
Who is Yuna?
Yuna began as a Pod.
Collectors did not mint finished characters. They acquired a Yuna Pod, which unlocked access to Yuzo’s character builder.
Once a Yuna Pod was in a wallet, the holder could access the builder at yuzo.xyz and select their desired traits. Each trait combination could only be used once. When the holder clicked Inscribe, the finalized Yuna was inscribed onto the same satoshi as the original Pod.
The Pod did not transfer into a separate asset. It became the Yuna.
This preserved provenance at the sat level. The character and its origin remained inseparable.
Creation was intentional. There was no randomized reveal and no duplicate combinations. Each Yuna reflects a specific set of irreversible choices made by its holder.
From the beginning, this mint model reflected how Yuzo approaches infrastructure. Systems are not launched in isolation. They are shaped through live participation. The Yuna builder was one of the earliest examples of this philosophy in practice, where holders interacted directly with emerging onchain tooling and, more importantly, engaged closely with the team as iteration unfolded. That feedback loop between the community helped shape what would become the foundation of Yuzo.
Relationship to WAIFUS / veWAIFUS
Yuna is not a governance token.
WAIFUS is the governance token of the Yu DAO. veWAIFUS represents vote-escrowed WAIFUS and determines voting power within protocol governance.
Yuna does not grant direct governance rights by default. Governance authority is obtained exclusively through holding and locking WAIFUS into veWAIFUS.
However, Yuna played a structural role in the early distribution and coordination of WAIFUS.
Genesis and Revelation collections acted as access pathways into the broader Yuzo ecosystem during its formative phase. Participation through Yuna ownership provided exposure to ecosystem mechanics, including staking systems and token distribution frameworks introduced over time.

Yuna started as an NFT, but the intent has always been bigger than a collection.
From the beginning, Yuna was designed to become the brand identity of Yuzo. As we build out the infrastructure, Yuna becomes the consistent surface through which that infrastructure is experienced.
Over time, the plan is for Yuna to operate within YunaOS as the AI agent. YunaOS will serve as the environment where users interact with the products we are building. Yuna becomes the agent inside that environment.
The goal is to create a more intuitive way to navigate complex DeFi mechanisms systems that would otherwise feel fragmented and technical to navigate.
As the underlying components mature, issuance, liquidity, vault strategies, structured capital flows, Yuna becomes the layer that ties them together for the user with just a simple command..
From an IP standpoint, the NFT is onchain lore behind each character. It establishes continuity. As the ecosystem expands, Yuna extends beyond the collectible into it’s own onchain economy.
We are building the infrastructure first. Yuna is how it will be experienced.
